Shopping in Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich

Because the skiing was not the issue during this holiday I focused on enjoying the cafes and shopping. We visited Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich - all with great possibilities for my focus areas :). Not bad at all. In Munich we stayed again at the City Novotel.

Delicious holiday

Kaiserschmarrn, ice cream, Apfelstrudel, cakes - yummy! Because I couldn't ski that much, I decided to enjoy all local delicatessen :). We found nice cafes and tasted different local specialities. Well, well - this was a bit different what I had imagined before the holiday. This time I couldn't count the skiing kilometers, but I could count the various cafes I visited.

Finally on the skies

After a couple of days it was time to rent the skies and head to the mountains. Just loved the sunshine, the spectacular views and nice slopes. No words are needed to describe the feelings. Just look at the pictures :).

Apartment in Aschau

Our holiday apartment was in Aschau - a tiny village in Zillertal near Zell am Ziller - only 3 km to the Zillertal Arena ski lifts. The location was nice and quiet and the apartment modern and spacious. A great choice!

The day after the arrival was not any more fun for me. I felt really sick and had to stay at the hotel the next two days. Luckily there was a great view to the mountains :).

Winter holiday

Time really flies sometimes. Here are finally some posts from the winter holiday, which was a bit different this time.

I had been waiting for our winter holiday in Austria already such a long time. And when it was time to take off, I got a flu - tough one. The first day in Austria was ok and I could really enjoy our arrival and the visit at Swarovski World in Wattens.

The park was nice and amusing. We spent there several hours. First we visited the exhibition and the shop. There were far too many beautiful things.

After visiting the exhibition we walked around the park with several activities, e.g. playgrounds, statues, a labyrinth and a small lake.

There was also a nice restaurant in the middle of the park - we enjoyed the lunch there.

After the lunch it was time to have some exercise at the play tower, which was built for children - and I should say also for adults. See the picture below - we were like spiders on the huge net. It was fun :). I can really recommend this place - it is worth visiting.

This was a nice start for the holiday in Austria.

Wrap It

One of the easy and tasty food favorites of mine are delicious wrap rolls. You just need to gather all those ingredients you like and start to wrap them :). So simple and delicious - and even healthy.

Yksi helpoista ruokasuosikeistani on wrap-rullat. Kerää niitä aineksia, joista pidät ja sitten vaan rullia käärimään :). Yksinkertaista ja herkullista - ja jopa terveellistä.

Delicious wrap rolls

whole wheat wraps
oil

1 yellow pepper
1/2 cucumber
salad
150 g cooked turkey slices
1 dl light mayonnaise or light creme fraiche

Cut the pepper, cucumber, salad and cooked turkey into thin strips. Combine them with mayonnaise.
Heat the wraps on a pan. Add the mixture into the middle of a wrap and roll it to a tight roll. Cut it into 3-4 pieces.

Herkkuwrapit

täysjyväwrapeja
öljyä

1 keltainen paprika
1/2 kurkku
salaattia
150 g kalkkunaleikettä
1 dl kevytmajoneesia tai kevyt ranskankermaa

Leikkaa paprika, kurkku, salaatti ja kalkkuna ohuiksi suikaleiksi. Sekoita joukkoon majoneesi. Kuumenna wrapejä pannulla. Lisää wrapille täytettä ja kääri se tiukalle rullalle. Leikkaa rulla 3-4 palaan. 

Sauce

200 g creme fraiche
2 tbsp thyme
2 tbsp chives
2 tbsp basil
sea salt
black pepper

Mix all together and start to dip the rolls into the sauce and enjoy :).

Kastike

200 g ranskan kermaa
2 rkl timjamia
2 rkl ruohosipulia
2 rkl basilikaa
ripaus merisuolaa
mustapippuria

Sekoita kaikki ainekset ja sitten vaan rullia dippailemaan :).
