London - Day 3

A new day ahead - enjoying my morning coffee and planning the next move.

And here we go again.

Today's program was to visit and see St. Paul's Cathedral, Millennium Bridge, Big Ben, The House of Parliament, Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. We also wanted to have lunch in a traditional British pub and eat fish & chips - of course. We also wanted to visit Harrods and Harvey Nics. And guess what - we managed to do everything. Just enjoy the flow of pictures 😀.

What a day and a holiday. Wish I could have stayed there a couple of more days. There are far too many place to see and visit.

Well, I already know what to do next time - visit Tower, Tate Modern, take a river boat and see the city from another perspective and go to Notting Hill again.

Anyway - this was the perfect little holiday and it is time to say goodbye to London.

Bye, bye!

London - Day 2

Good morning London 💙. Time to wake up and get some cappuccino and smoothies to have a great start for a new day and adventures. Our small kitchen was ideal for us and we wanted to enjoy the breakfast here and not in the cafe downstairs.

The first visit of the day was the British Museum.

The ancient Egypt department was very interesting. And the whole museum far too big. You could easily spend there several days.

In the afternoon we headed towards Oxford Street to have lunch before visiting Soho and China town.

One of the highlights of this trip was Aladdin the musical. In my opinion, it was even better than the Lion King, which we saw last time in London.

After the musical we walked around in the Covent Garden and enjoyed the evening there.

A day well spent, I'd say!

London is calling - Day 1

Here we come London! We had three wonderful days ahead in one of my favorite cities. We started our trip early in the morning and took an eight o'clock flight to London. This was a girls' trip - I was accompanied by my daughters 😍. And wow - what a sunny day was there waiting for us. 💛

We were around noon at the apartment hotel - Cheval Three Quays, which is located near the Tower of London and Thames. We had booked a very spacious apartment - 92 square meters. So there was space enough for three of us. 😀

We had a nice living room, small kitchen area, a big terrace and balcony with a nice view to Thames and two spacious bedrooms. The first feeling was - could we stay here longer than these three days. The apartment was a pure dream.

This armchair was my favorite spot in the apartment. On the table there was even binoculars - to spy the other people on the other side of Thames 😁.

It was all about the details... And loved those little Hermes bottles.

It took us a while before we believed this was ours for these next three days. We took pics from each room - just needed some evidence 😀.

Downstairs we found a cosy Coppa restaurant and enjoyed a lunch in a bubble.

After the nice lunch time we headed to Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.

We walked through Green Park and took the underground to Notting Hill.  We walked around and admired the beautiful houses and architecture.

Then it was already time to enjoy some coffee and we found the perfect place for that -  Daylesford, which is actually a organic farmshop & cafĂ© in the heart of Notting Hill. I highly recommend to visit this cafe.

Notting Hill is such an idyllic and picturesque village - love the colorful houses and the calm atmosphere there.

We also wanted to visit another cafe in Notting Hill - Farm Girl Cafe. Well, this was not actually what I was looking for, but got to admit that those lattes looked nice.

After our cafe tourney we continued to walk around the colorful streets of Portobello Road.. And took at least hundred pictures 😀.

After the long day we headed to Westfield London Shopping Center, where the girls found some nice clothes. We also enjoyed a sushi dinner there before took the train back to our holiday home.

After a hot shower and a cup of tea it was time to say good night!
